Michael Crichton

I just received the news that Michael Crichton passed away on November 5th.

He is one of my favorite authors. I have read every book he ever published and watch constantly for his latest novel. I gobble them up as soon as they are released. I am saddened that there will be no more novels coming from Michael.

He wrote 'Jurassic Park', 'Andromeda Strain' and 'Sphere' just to name a few. His novels were just on the edge of new technology and that made them 'almost' believable. I didn't have a favorite - they were all my favorite!

I feel like I have lost a good friend and will miss him.

A sad passing indeed. He was a terrific writer.

Michael Crichton also wrote eight mystery/thriller novels as by John Lange. Of the eight, Hard Case Crime has re-released two of these titles: GRAVE DESCEND and ZERO COOL. Both are terrific adventure novels, the later has the feel of an Alfred Hitchcock film.

I'm not sure why the publisher chose to market these titles without mention of Crichton's name, but they rock.

Thanks Ben,
I'll be sure to read his work under the name of John Lange.
