Only four weeks from today and I'll offically have a new daughter and grand-daughter! It is going to be a great weekend - I'll get to spend time with my family in Salt Lake and get to know Liz and Emma a little better. I am very much looking forward to it!
Liz's dress is beautiful!!! I'd post a picture of it but Liz would banish me forever......she doesn't want Shaun to see it before the wedding.
I was on the phone the other night with Shaun, Emma asked him who he was talking to. He replied, "Your grandma." She said, "No, my grandma is right there.", pointing toward the kitchen. I listened as Shaun explained to her how his mother was her grandma too. I could almost hear the pop and sizzle of the electrons inside her head as she digested this for a few seconds. Then she asked Shaun, "You mean your mom is my grandma?! I have another Grandma?!" He replied, "Yes and you'll get to see her at the wedding." Emma went nuts! "I have one more grandma! I have lots of grandmas now!" She went running through the house, shouting the great news! It will be nice when she is finally able to see me in person, hopefully it will be easier for her to make the connection when there is a face to go along with the name.
As a side note.......I have a wonderful husband! I'm on some new medication for my fibromyalgia. Unfortunately, one of the side effects is weight gain. Well, I'm putting it on, in spite of my exercise and diet. Aargh! I decided this morning I wasn't going to take the medicine anymore. When I told Tom of my decision he told me, in no uncertain terms, that he'd rather have me overweight and feeling well then thin and feeling yucky all the time. I can't tell you how glad I am to hear that! My husband is definitely a keeper! I'm so grateful for his support and friendship.

I'm so excited for the big day, and for you to be a GRANDMA! It is so much fun!!! Will we get the honors of having you stay with us when you come out??? (You know your room is always ready.) Let me know if there is anything I can do to help with the wedding. I can't wait to see you all!
We are excited to have you come visit in September. We had a great time with Shane and Ashley on our camping trip this past weekend. They are such a cute couple. I think I am going to start calling you Granny! :]
You are going to be the best grandma ever, I just know it. I am so happy for you.
I would also rather have a healthy and happy friend then one who is skinny and sick all the time.
