September 6, 2008 is the big day for Shaun and Liz. They will be married in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. The first thing I did after Shaun gave me the news was reserve a sealing room. That means it's official, right?!It hasn't seemed real to me. Now that they have a date set it feels more permanent. :-O The range of emotions is tremendous! I am so happy for Shaun and Liz. Yet, I cried half the night. Go figure!
I thought after going through all the emotional ups and downs with Shane's wedding I'd be better equipped to handle Shaun's. Wrong! It's confusing to me that I can feel so happy and so sad at the same time. It's a good sad, though. I have tried to teach all of my children to be self-sufficient. Apparently, I have succeeded with at least two of them. They both live in completely different time-zones then I do! (Shaun is settling in Spokane). I didn't want them to be that self-sufficent. ;-)
Now, having said that....I couldn't be more pleased with my new daughters-in-law. They are wonderful people and I look forward to an eternity of friendship with both Liz and Ashley!

Congratulations!!! It sounds like you will have a busy summer.
I have a special place in my heart for the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. Not only did I watch it grow, but I also got married there (you and Tom were there!) after having been on a date with Mike to one of the dedication ceremonies. And I live less than 5 minutes down the road from it!
Yeah, I thought of you instantly when Shaun told me! It's a beautiful place. I didn't realize that you were that close to it. I'm very excited about the upcoming summer!
Please don't schedule the open house until October! I will be delivering sometime between the 11th and the 15th. Send them on a loooooooooooooong honeymoon so I have time to heal from my c-section. Once again it is all about me:).
Actually, I think we are going to have a pre-wedding openhouse. I guess you'd call it a engagement party? We will probably do it in June sometime. That way you will be VERY pregnant in all of our pictures. It IS all about you!
